In recent years, with the vigorous development of the marine industry, the acceleration of urbanization, and the development of coastal industrialization, the quality of the marine environment has been deteriorating day by day. The analysis and research of organic pollutants in marine sediments has become a hot topic both domestically and internationally, and is of great significance for environmental monitoring and protection.
Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. analyzed 31 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and 7 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) using marine sediments as the research system. A new pre-treatment method for accelerating solvent extraction and purification was established, achieving the goal of integrated extraction and purification. The rapid and reliable detection of PAHs and PCBs was achieved by using gas chromatography triple quadrupole mass spectrometry and gas chromatography electron bombardment ionization source mass spectrometry.
